Organisation
Four pairs work simultaneously in this exercise.
Each pair is assigned to its own playing area on the pitch.
Every area is marked with cones and includes a small goal and a clearly defined target zone, indicated by cones and a pole.
Within each area, two players are active, with a third player rotating in from the same pair.
While waiting for the coach’s signal, players pass the ball one-touch continuously within their pair to stay active and ready.
On the signal, two players become active and perform a short 1v1 action inside their area.
After each repetition, players rotate roles immediately:
the attacker becomes the defender,
the defender moves to rest,
the resting player enters as the attacker.
This organisation ensures clear structure, balanced involvement, and high intensity throughout the drill.
Description and Graphics
The coach calls the pairs continuously and unpredictably.
When a pair is called, players must react immediately.
The outside player attacks, while the inside player defends the central zone and tries to win the ball.
The attacker aims to beat the defender in a 1v1 and dribble through the target zone between the poles.
If the defender wins possession, they can finish into the small goal behind the attacker.
