Endurance With Basic Passing
This drill builds endurance with repeated passing and receiving actions performed at a continuous tempo.
Video
Organisation
Six cones are used to mark the players’ positions, forming a hexagonal shape as shown.
The distance between the cones should be adjusted according to the age group and the intended physical load of the exercise.
Players are positioned next to the cones and rotate continuously, changing positions after each action to maintain flow and involvement.
Description and Graphics
The passing exercise is performed with two balls simultaneously to maintain tempo and involvement.
Players in positions A start the sequence by passing to positions B.
Players in B receive and forward the ball to positions C.
After receiving, players in C play the ball back to positions A.
Following the pass, players from positions A make a diagonal run to the next B position, ensuring continuous rotation and movement.
Receiving techniques can be varied and defined by the coach, including receiving inside or outside the cone, using different foot surfaces depending on the focus of the session.
Players perform the running actions at a moderate to high intensity, depending on the desired physical load and age group.
