This exercise is focusing on different joint stabilization.
When the players are running, they spend a fraction of a second on single leg stance position before pushing off and landing on the other foot.

Description and Graphics

One of the key points is how the players can avoid injuries in the modern football.
The first step is to improve their stability on one leg.
Without this ability the coaches cannot move forward to teach another complex ball mastery exercises.
The purpose of the exercise is strengthening the muscles of the leg, that are going to improve the stability and balance.
This exercise is a static balance position, which is the first level of the progression. 
Two variations can be seen.
