This 1v1 exercise focuses on footwork, speed, agility and finishing skills. The drill also helps develop decision making, kicking technique and initiative attacking attitude.

Organisation

Equipment and players are arranged as shown.

Players work in pairs and change their positions continuously in alphabetical order.  Three goalkeepers are involved in this progression but it can also be played with one keeper if it is needed.

Description and Graphics

Exercise starts at the command of the coach.  Players in Position A start to run over the small hurdles with a determined technique and body position. They sprint towards the ladder and run over it to the direction of the yellow sticks as shown. Players in Positions B serve a ball to Player A. Player A must shoot on goal over the line of the yellow sticks. After shooting on goal they sprint towards the red sticks and go through them. Coach serves a ball into the middle. Players try to get the ball first and score under pressure.
