Organisation

Small cones are used to mark the players' positions.
Sticks or mannequins are placed to mark the dribbling patterns of the attackers and running ways of the defenders.
A 1v1 area is also created by cones.
Two portable goals are placed as shown.
Distances and the size of the playing field must be created adequately to the given age-group.

Players work in pairs.

Description and Graphics

The soccer drill starts by the coach's sign.
The attacker (A) dribbles the ball between the sticks or mannequins and gets to the 1v1 area.
The defender (B) starts his determined movements over the coordination ladder. (Double steps; Single steps; Zig-zag movements; etc.) After he bypasses the yellow stick in front and accelerates into the 1v1 area.
A 1v1 situation evolves between the players.
The attacker can leave the area sideways in both directions, so he can feint, dribble and turn free to beat the defender in 1v1.
The defender can be only active to the sidelines of the area.
In case he intercepts the ball, he becomes attacker.
When the attacker wins the 1v1, he dribbles the ball out of the area and plays it to his teammate positioning in the corner of the playing field.
At the moment of the attacker's pass the other player on the corner accelerates, bypasses the nearer stick and sprints into the area to be able to tackle or put pressure on the attacker.
Meanwhile the player in possession dribbles the ball at speed towards the goal, so a 1v1 situation evolves.
If the attacker beats the defender in the 1v1, he can shoot on goal. In case the defender tackles, he becomes attacker immediately and he can finish the action.
