5v3 Rondo with Attacking and Defensive Transitions
This combined soccer drill focuses on possession, quick decision making, speed of play and the supporting movements.
The small sided soccer game also develops the attacking and defensive transitions and the soccer specific endurance.

Organisation
Cones are used to mark an area as shown. (approximately 12x12 meters). The size should be adequate to the number of players and the given age group.
Set up four small goals outside the area about 2 meters far from the corners.
8 field players take part in the exercise, who play 5v3 rondo in the area. Players are marked by different colors.
The roles are changed periodically.
Description and Graphics
Team in possession (red) try to control the ball against three defenders.
The players can play with maximum 2 touches, so they must combine strictly. A sequence of 8-12 passes counts as 1 point. The determined number of passes depends on the players' ability and technical skills.
Defending team (blue) press with intensity to recover the ball.
When the ball is regained they must score into one of the four small goals.
