Organisation

The game takes place across three areas, as players participate in a 1v1 duel followed by a 2v2 game within a single action.
Three separate playing areas must be created as shown in the diagram. The central area is dedicated to the 2v2 game, while two smaller zones on either side are designated for 1v1 duels.
For optimal execution, a minimum of 8 and a maximum of 16-20 players are required. The total number of players determines the work-to-rest ratio.
Two teams should be formed, ensuring that players facing each other in 1v1 and 2v2 matchups are of similar skill level and quality.
To effectively manage the session, two coaches are recommended, or alternatively, one coach and an assistant (e.g., a non-training player). This is essential as the 1v1 games take place simultaneously.
There is off-side rule in the 2v2 game.

Game Duration

  • 1v1 Duels: Approximately 15-20 seconds
  • 2v2 Matches: Approximately 30-45 seconds

Description and Graphics

Coaches can designate which color team will act as defenders in the 1v1 scenarios. In this case, defenders start the exercise in both areas by passing the ball to the attackers with a low-driven pass upon the coach’s signal. Immediately after the pass, defenders apply pressure, initiating the 1v1 duel.
If a goal is scored or the ball leaves the playing area before the time limit (15-20 seconds) expires, coaches quickly pass a new ball to maintain intensity.
Once the set time elapses, a (pre-designated) coach blows the whistle, signaling players to transition to the larger central area for the 2v2 game.
The coach then passes the ball into play for the quicker arriving pair, and the 2v2 match begins.
