Complex Defending Cooperation
This complex soccer exercise focuses on developing and practising defending cooperation and helps players learn, practise and innervate game specific decision making while defending.
Organisation
Cones are used to mark four zones as shown. Sizes of the areas must be adequate to the age group.
This soccer exercise can be played by 10 to 12 players. We can change the players' defending and attacking role after some exercises.
Identify players with different colors. In the exercise we practise with four defenders. Beside the basic defending cooperation, this soccer drill can be easily adopted to several formations so it can be used as a functional small sided soccer game.
Description and Graphics
This small sided soccer game helps players practise all kinds of game specific defending movements. It makes players practice how to react and act in basic situations. It teaches them not only what the main principles are while defending but also helps develop awareness and anticipation.
