Soccer Specific Endurance with SSG Plus Coordination
The main objectives of this game are to develop the soccer specific endurance, combination play, decision making in over-numbered environment and coordinated movements.
Organisation
6-16 field players (3v3-5v5) and two goalkeepers are involved in this SSG for the optimal execution.
Since this game requires full intensity, we have to take care of the overload, so we need more teams of 3/4/5 players or we have to give enough resting time.
Identify the teams with different colors.
The players in both teams are marked with a number, since they have to achieve the coordination tasks in a row during the game.
Cones are used to create a playing area.
Besides, there are 4 equal squares next to the corners outside on the baselines, in which poles and rings are located in determined way.
The size of the area must be adequate to the players' age group, their technical skills and the set aim.
The coach stands with balls outside the playing area, near the halfway-line.
Description and Graphics
The coach starts the game by passing the ball to one player, now to a white, so the white team is in possession.
In the 3v3 game, the player on the ball can try to outplay his opponent individually or he can start the combination play with his teammates immediately. If the white team scores, the player number 1 of the defending team (red) has to sprint into the nearest square and he has to achieve predetermined tasks (fast zig-zag between among the poles) with the equipment. Right after that he sprints back into the playing area. Meanwhile the white team gets another ball from the coach, so they can snap up the chance fast of the 3v2 over-numbered game situation and they can score again.
If the white team misses the chance, a defender tackles or the ball leaves the area, the player number 1 of the white team has to sprint into the nearest square and the roles are changed immediately.
