Diagonal Combinations in the Middle and Finishing after Flat Crossings

This soccer drill focuses on the diagonal supporting movements, developing combination play in the middle and improving the cooperation while the players are combining. 
The finishing progression also aims to practice the sharp, flat crossings and the attackers’ movements at the goal area.

Organisation

Players and equipment are arranged as shown.
12-14 field players and 2 goalkeepers take part in the exercise for the optimal execution.  
Distances of the players’ position must be counted and planned according to the age-group.
Sticks are placed to draw the passing channels in the middle and stimulate the defenders’ positions in the goal area. 
Players work in pairs. There are 2 combining players who make the determined combinations with the pairs and each other.  2 wingers are also located on the sides of the area.
The combining players’ and the wingers’ positions are changed periodically, the other players change continuously during the task.
The soccer finishing exercise should be performed to both directions.
