Organisation
Cones are used to mark an approximately 20x35-40 meters playing area.
Split the squad into two teams. Players work in pairs.
Red cones mark the players starting positions in the middle.
Two offside lines are placed from flat cones, which the players have to reach, when they sprint back from their position to create supporting movements. These lines sign the offside situation during the 2:2 game.
The attackers are located next to the goals in A-B positions as shown.
Teams change their roles periodically after a determined number of repetition.
Description and Graphics
In this exercise the first pair of blue team start the game for the coach's signal.
Both players dribble the ball at speed towards the cone inside.
They turn around the cone on the determined side, then they shoot on goal.
At the time of the shots (or a little bit earlier), the coach says A or B, by which he determines for the attackers who starts dribbling.
One attacker accelerates with ball, the other attacker from the opposite goal sprints back to reach the offside-line and to make support.
The attackers try to play out the opponents in the 2v2 game situation, the defenders' aim is to intercept the ball and score to the other sided goal.
The action ends when one pair scores, the goalkeeper saves or the ball leaves the pitch.
