Rondo - Shooting On Goal
This combined soccer drill focuses on developing possession, endurance, receiving and shooting skills.
Organisation
Cones are used to mark two areas as shown. (approximately 6x6 meters).
Set up four goals, one pole and three mannequins.
In this case 14 field players take part in the exercise, who play 6v1 rondos in the areas.
Of course, the progress can be performed with different number of players.
For example: 12 field players - 5v1 rondos, 10 players - 4v1, etc.
The defenders hold a bib in their hands.
The goalkeepers stand in the diagonal goals.
Balls are placed in each goals and next to the areas.
Description and Graphics
The exercise is performed with two balls together, so two teams possess the ball in a 6v1 rondo at the same time. If the defender touches the ball or it leaves the area, he throws the bib to the player who makes the mistake. This 'new' defender sprints to turn around the pole in the middle to the determined direction, asks for a ball from the keeper, then finishes. After that he runs to the other square to defend. Meanwhile the other six players pass with each other by one-touch in the square.
If the players combine accurately in one of the squares and the defender can not touch the ball, a 6v2 game can be created with the defender coming from the opposite square.
The receivings and technique or place of the shots are also determined. Three variations can be seen.
