Cones are used to create three positions A, B and C as shown. Set up two small areas next to the goals. Two small goals are placed in front of Position "A" on both sides. The small goals are on the line of the penalty area. One portable goal is placed in front of the fix goal.
Three balls needed in each exercise. One ball is at Player "A" and one is at Player "C". A third ball is placed in the corner of the small area of Player "A" as shown. The balls must be replaced by the resting players after each executed exercises.
Distances and the size of the area must be created adequately to the given age group.
Players change their positions in alphabetical order continuously.
Two goalkeepers are involved into this football drill.
Description and Graphics
Player "A" starts the soccer drill by dribbling the ball in the small area and tries to pass or shoot the ball into the small goal in front. The attempt must be taken form the area.
If Player "A" scores into the small goal he becomes an attacker and picks up the ball in the corner of his area as fast as he can. In this case Player in Position "C" must react because he is the defender. He must sprint and turn around the small goal to put pressure on the attacker. Player "A" must try to shoot on goal as soon as possible and score. Attacker must perform his shot on goal outside the penalty box. (Do not cross the line.)
When Player "A" misses his first shot on the small goal (1) he is the defender, he sprints and turns around the small goal to be able to put pressure on the attacker (Player "C").
Player "B" and "C" must react to the missed pass (1) of Player "A". Player "B" passes (2) to Player "C" who receives the ball and dribbles (3) towards the goal as fast as he can. Player "C" must shoot on goal and tries to score under the pressure of Player "A", who must try to block the shot or win the ball.
The exercise is ended if the attacker shoot on goal or the defender blocks the shot.
