Speed Endurance With Crossing and Finishing
This basic soccer drill helps develop players' speed endurance, pace, crossing and finishing skills in front of the goal.
Organisation
Players perform this exercise in groups of three. This soccer drill requires minimum nine players and it can be executed with maximum 18 players (6 groups of three). There are two positions in the opposite corners of the area where the balls are placed. There are two additional players, they help perform the exercise by passing balls to the wing players in the area to be able to do the crosses to their team mates.
The size of the area and distances must be created adequately to the given age-group. The number of reps and sets also must be planned according to the given age-group.
The groups are changing their role continuously. After finishing the exercise, the group in the middle run out of the area and the next one replaces them. The exercise starts at the coach's command.
Variation
- One repetition contains two crosses, players run back and forth.
- One repetition contains three crosses, players run three times.
