Combinations in Diamond

This soccer passing drill is the basis of changing positions in possession and the continuous combination play. 
The exercise also aims to improve the players' cooperation and make an automatic instinct of the correct timing and angles of supporting movements without the ball.

Organisation

Cones are used to create a 12x16m rhombus.
There is a pole in the center of the area, which helps the players to create the correct angles of wall passes and movements.
4 players and a server take part in the exercise.
They are arranged as shown.
The players in A-B-C are changing continuously, player D in the middle moves and combines, but he stays in position.
The exercise is performed with two balls. 
The player in position A and the server hold 1-1 ball.
Two variations can be seen.

Description and Graphics

This is a complex passing exercise and it demands good quality of passing technique and the high level of cognitive abilities.
Therefore the progression requires strong concentration so it's important for the players to perform the soccer drill with slow intensity and with more touches at first.
