Acceleration vs. Submax Speed 2
This competitive speed exercise focuses on developing the complex speed of players and functional technique.
The emphasis is also laid on reaction ability, acceleration, agility, pace and competitiveness.

Cones are used to mark the position of the players and the sticks are placed as shown.
Players work in pairs and after each performed exercise they change their roles after the resting period.
The distances of the cones and sticks must be laid out in accordance with the given age-group.
This exercise must be executed after an accurate and intensive warm up of very good quality.
Description and Graphics
Players stand at their starting positions as shown in a determined body position. To the sign of the coach they sprint towards the sticks. Coach determines which direction players must choose by giving the color of the sticks. Player in position A bypasses the stick in the middle (yellow). Player in Position B have to turn around the middle stick as shown. Player A sprints to the ball and dribbles towards the goal by turning around the last stick as shown and tries to pass the ball into the small goal in front. Player B (defender) after turning around the first stick accelerates towards the called colored big cone. After turning around the big cone Player B tries to win the ball or block the pass of the attacker.
