Agility in Pairs
The aim of this exercise is developing reaction, pace, agility, changing direction and speed of the players.
The tasks also focuses on improving the dribble, accelerate and turn with the ball.
Organisation
Players are split into two teams and they are identified by bibs. Teams and players compete each other.
Cones are used to mark the starting positions and 2-2 different colored cones (yellow and blue in the example) and 1-1 pole are placed opposite the players about 5-8 meters apart.
The poles are located between the small cones as shown.
Distances must be adequate to the given age-group.
Description and Graphics
The players start the exercise for the coach's sign. They sprint to the poles, stop in front of them and they are running in place to wait for the coach's next instruction.
The coach says a color (blue or yellow). The players turn it around and sprint back to the line of the cones (Starting position).
The faster player gets 1 point, so the team that collects the most points by the end of the competition will be the winner.
Variation: 3
In the third variation the players make the tasks with ball.
Of course there are possibilities for more variations.
