Maintaining Possession and Changing Sides with Combination Play
This soccer tactic game emphasizes developing possession and changing sides with combination play. The soccer drill also aims to innervate changing positions and improve the cooperation between the players in possession.
Organisation
This 7v5 soccer game is playedon an approximately 30x45m pitch.
Players are split into two teams of five and they are identified by different colours.
2 neutral players take part in the game who always help the team in possession, so 7v5 outnumbered game evolves.
Cones create 6 small goals, the players can score to play the ball to a team-mate across one of the goals.
Description and Graphics
Players possess the ball with accurate, low passes, they perform combinations, changing positions, overlaps and try to utilize the outnumbering situation in possession.
The possessor team play in a fluid way, so the 2 neutral players always make supporting movements and they should be playable. Players can score for any of the same sided 3 goals, but after scoring they must change side with combination play.
If the defending team intercept the ball they become possessor immediately, so they must react fast on the switching play.
